We just had a two night stay at Swissotel Nankai and were so happy with our stay. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are spacious and comfortable and the staff are so friendly and helpful. We had Club Level and had two executive lounges to choose from. Very nice to relax sitting in the Club lounge overlooking Osaka after a day out exploring the city. The breakfast each morning was very nice. So much to choose from. We will definitely be staying here again on our next visit.

A great place to stay in the heart of Osaka

This is a great place to stay in the heart of Osaka. The hotel is located on top of the Namba Station, one of the busiest and most well-connected stations in Osaka. There is a direct line to and from KIX airport which takes under an hour and is incredibly cheap. It is a quick 20 minute train ride to things in northern Osaka such as Osaka Castle & Shin-Osaka Station (where you can take the Shinkansen). Aside from that, the hotel is walkable to most of the other attractions - Dotonburi, Shinsaibashi, Den Den Town, and Shin Sekai are all walkable with tons of food and shopping options. I would recommend buying the hotel breakfast with your stay. It is an extensive Western and Asian buffet on the top floor with gorgeous panoramic views of the city. The food is good quality. There are also three restaurants in the hotel. These looked good, but we did not end up trying any of these. The hotel also has a gym, pool, and spa, none of which seem to be common in Japanese hotels (based on our other hotel stays). The gym has a decent selection of weights, strength machines, cardio equipment, and a multipurpose room with mats and such. The hotel staff are all very nice and helpful, and the rooms are well maintained. If you want to be right in the middle of it all, this hotel is perfect for you. The hotel itself is quiet, but if you would prefer to avoid large crowds, this may not be your best option as you have to enter and exit the hotel through the Namba station and the attached shopping mall. This can be a bit confusing at times; I think we entered and exited via half a dozen different routes in and out during our stay. This didn’t bother us. As long as you don’t mind occasionally getting turned around and ending up taking a slightly more circuitous route than you may have intended to get in from and out to the streets, you’ll be fine

I've been to Osaka many times and I can say for sure that there's no better hotel in the Namba area ! Swissotel has spacious rooms, unbeatable views and all the facilities you need to explore Osaka and have the best time ever there ! They also know how to take good care of their platinum members (except for a little mishap at the bar that's been rectified quickly) We can't wait to come back for our next trip !

Very good and friendly staff, good amenities, pijamas available in the room, great location, restaurant options, bar, cafe. There was more areas as pool and gym but I didn’t used. It has a pillow menu and it made the whole difference in my staying making more comfortable than I expected.

Fabulous location. Short walk to Dotonbori and metro is the building. Real convenient to travel between airport and hotel with direct train lines. Abundant food choices nearby. Love the buffet breakfast on the 36th floor with amazing city view.
